Elisa Kim, L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist and clinical herbalist. Her interest in alternative medicine began when her grandparents started sending medicinal herbs to her family. She was intrigued by the neatly wrapped packages of herbs and loved to smell and taste each one. Growing up near Mt Diablo, she spent much time admiring the native plants and reading about their traditional uses and healing properties. This sparked a life long interest in the healing arts and mind body wellness. After receiving her B.A. in Psychology from UC Berkeley, she looked for a way to combine her desire to work with people and her love of medicinal plants and alternative medicine. 

In 2006 Elisa received her M.S. in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, California. She deepened her understanding of TCM by studying Medical Qigong at Five Branches University in Santa Cruz. Elisa has also been very fortunate to study pulse diagnosis with Bob Levine, L.Ac., whose mentorship has greatly enriched her work in the healing arts. 

Elisa is a general practitioner with an interest in women’s health and pain management. She believes that for optimal and lasting health to occur, one must address the entire person, not just the disease condition itself.
